The group JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) gained attention as they took up 4 of the Top 20 spots on the Gaon Chart Total Album Sales for 2010.

JYJ’s Worldwide Album “The Beginning” recorded sales of 99,903 and took 8th place, with “The Beginning (New Limited Edition)” and “Luxury Edition” recording sales of 98,311 and 92,649 at 10th and 11th place respectively. 

Also, the OST for KBS 2TV’s Drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” which starred Park Yoochun, sold 76,951 copies, and was at the 13th placing. It was the only OST that made it on the chart.

For JYJ, who is embroiled in a lawsuit with former management company SM Entertainment, who have been restricted from participating in music show recordings and other broadcasting activities, these are their results and rankings. All 15,000 seats of the first round of reservations for 'Tears of Heaven' were sold out in 5 minutes and 3,000 seats for the second round were sold out in 3 and a half minutes. Even the third round of reservations, which opened on the 31st last month, sold out in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. He's shown a ticket power greater than that of Jo Seung Woo of 'Jekyll and Hyde'. The string of sold out performances, which has never happened before in the musical industry, caused scalper tickets to reach prices of over 3 million Won, much to the dismay of Kim Junsu, who said that such a situation was "Unfortunate."

T-ara's Hyomin left a raving review for the musical 'Tears of Heaven'.

Hyomin garnered attention when she left a 'Tears of Heaven' review on her personal Twitter account on the 2nd. Hyomin expressed how touched she was after watching the musical as she tweeted, "I was at the National Theater to watch the first performance of 'Tears of Heaven'! I watched the performance pushing down my feelings of anticipation because people told me that anticipation only brings great disappointment," and "But it was beyond my expectations! If I had to summarize my review in one line, it would be something along the lines of, 'I got a taste of the tears of heaven'."

Hyomin continued to say, "And I even got to see the composer Frank Wildhorn and Yoon Gong Ju up close yesterday. The memories of listening to their music and studying hard in high school came rushing back to me and I suddenly got really emotional! I'm such a lucky person."

She also uploaded photos she took with Frank Wildhorn and Yoon Gong Ju, as well as a photo of the 'Tears of Heaven' pamphlet.

Also, Hyomin added that, "The musical genre is full of charms," and "It was a place that gave me much to think about as I was watching the performance. It was like the shade under a tree that I could rest under for a while."

JYJ member Kim Junsu expressed his anxiety with regards to the rampant sales of tickets to his musical in the black market. 

Upon completing his first performance of the musical "Tears of Heaven", Kim Junsu heard that fans were scalping tickets and it was revealed that he said, "It makes me angry and it makes my heart ache." 

An associate of the musical production said, "Right now, on websites related to 'Tears of Heaven' and other sites, there are many fans requesting for black market tickets. As the limited tickets to Kim Junsu's performances have all been sold out, many ticket scalpers have appeared. Although we wish to increase Kim Junsu's performances, due to his schedules and other issues, adding on performances would be very difficult."

The 50 billion won production "Tears of Heaven", which depicts a heart-wrenching love story that unfolds during the Vietnam War, will take place at the National Theatre from now until 19 March.
